The de Havilland Mosquito was a fighter bomber aircraft, built by the British aircraft company, de Havilland Aircraft Company.

This WW2 British aircraft was introduced to active service around 1941. It is featured here on classic aircraft art, as firstly a digitally produced airplane sketch, in the style of a free hand pencil sketch.

The Mosquitos were wooden airplanes, built mainly of laminated plywood. Which made these WWii fighter planes very fast, indeed, even beating the Spitfire during speed trials.

This vintage ww2 aircraft has also featured in sevaral airplane movies, most notably the 1969 movie Mosquito Squadron. Also earlier in the decade saw its appearance in the 1963 movie 633 Squadron.
