The Avro Vulcan strategic nuclear bomber was another British made aircraft that could be described as a Cold War aircraft,
along with the Vickers Valiant and the Handley Page Victor.
The aircraft was known as a V bomber along with the others in service with the RAF at the time.
These V bombers were fitted with nuclear bombs, and patrolled the skies continuously, to provide a nuclear deterrent.
